Roman Häbler's artistic interest is primarily rooted in the medium of photography and forms of representation of time. In addition to moving images and text, he creates non-linear narratives that revolve around media-inherent questions and autobiographical experiences of memory, loss and trauma.

He is co-founder of Klick Klack Publishing, a collective with Jonas Hirschmann and Leo Rothmoser that engages with the sociocultural backgrounds of graffiti and urban art phenomenons.

With his colleague Lars-Ole Bastar he runs Choreo, a studio focussing on the documentation of artworks and architecture plus having teaching assignments at art academies.

In 2021 he graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts Leipzig in the class of Heidi Specker. Roman Häbler lives and works between Munich, Leipzig and Berlin.
